Knitted Neck Warmer

So, I decided that I wanted a nice neck warmer for the fall and winter seasons. I looked around and could not find a thing that I liked. The ones that I did like were so expensive that the prices made me gasp. The prices were in the range of $50 to $100 and up. The neck scarves that I saw, I must say were gorgeous, but I didn't have that kind of money to spend on a scarf (haven't won the lottery yet). I knew how to knit from years back and could never find the time to start or finish a project. Something was different now. I had the time. I had learned to say no to a lot of other things and people. I let go of things and people that tend to stress me out a little. No is a wonderful word. Having a new attitude and the nerve to let things go that don't make me happy, makes me very happy. I decided that I wanted to go ahead and make the time to make myself a scarf. I am happy to say that I started and finished my scarf. It turned out beautiful. There is a certain type of satisfaction in making something with your own hands. You love it in a different way than if it was store bought. You take care of it in a different way because you know the hard work and time that you put into it. It becomes something special to you. Making the neck warmer cost me $10 for the yarn. I found a star like brooch to wear with it for $8. This look cost under $20. Be frugal and live like a queen!
